Accountability in practice
A policy is one part of the work. Your organisation also needs clear responsibilities, documented decisions and evidence of how controls operate.
We help build that into delivery, working with your legal, risk and compliance advisers on the obligations that apply to you.
Requirements and dates differ by system, risk classification and whether your organisation provides or deploys AI. The Commission lists staged application dates, including 2 December 2027 for Annex III high-risk systems and 2 August 2028 for AI embedded in regulated products.
Read the European Commission guidanceFor companies applying the UK Corporate Governance Code, Provision 29 applies to financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2026. It calls for a board declaration on the effectiveness of material internal controls. The Code operates on a comply-or-explain basis.

The firm
